CVFC would like to thank Santa for taking the time to come out and meet the great residents of Old Bridge Fire District #2. He even brought the snow with him!!!

All four of Old Bridge's Volunteer Fire Companies will be bringing Santa Claus around their respective fire districts in the coming weeks.

Cheesequake will be out with Santa on the evening of Friday the 13th from 6-9pm and Saturday the 14th from 9am-5pm. Email santa@cheesequakefire.com for the schedule and route.

South Old Bridge will be taking Santa around the evenings of the 16th-21st. Their schedule and route is located on their website www.sobfd.com

Laurence Harbor will be out with Santa on the 21st.

On Sunday, 11/24/2013, CVFC fought a large brush fire in freezing temperatures under the command of Assistant Chief 220. Dozens of mutual aid companies responded to help from Middlesex, Monmouth, and Mercer County. Approximately 230 acres burned due to the strong winds. Heavy smoke conditions in the area due to the fire closed some of the roads and several houses had to be evacuated.

Also on Sunday, 10/20/2013, CVFC participated in the Bayshore Pipeline Drill with Engine 202.

Thank you for everyone for coming out to our annual open house.  We had great weather and a great turn out with hundreds of people stopping by.  We would also like to thank Car-Tech Auction, Inc. for donating two vehicles and towing services to us for our motor vehicle extrication demonstrations.  We hope everyone had a good time and we are looking forward to doing it again next year!
